Jordan Tour - Itinerary

Day 1: London/Amman

Depart London Heathrow for Amman by British Airways or Royal Jordanian Airlines. Reception on arrival and transfer direct to 4* Imperial Palace hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 2: Amman

After breakfast, transfer to visit the impressive Greco-Roman city of Jerash, then continue to the Medieval Arab castle at Ajloon. In the afternoon transfer to Um Qais, the city which once was famous for its artists. The city offers beautiful views overlooking the Jordan valley and Lake Tiberias. (B,D)

Day 3: Amman/Petra

Visit the city of Amman, including the Roman Theatre, citadel and its Archaeological Museum and Gold Bazaar in the heart of down town. We then journey south along the Kings Highway to visit Madaba the fantastic city of Mosaics from the Byzantine era, Mt Nebo (the burial place of Moses), we drive through Wadi Mujib, a deep valley holding one of Jordan’s most breathtaking views and Christ’s Baptism site to the first crusader castle of Karak. Stay at 4* Kings Way Inn at Petra (B,D)

Day 4: Petra

Spend a full day exploring the magnificently mysterious rock-carved rose red city of Petra. Various walks and climbs reveal literally hundreds of buildings, tombs, baths, funerary halls, temples, arched gateways, colonnaded streets and haunting rock drawings - as well as a 3000 seat open air amphitheatre circa, a gigantic first century Monastery (800 steps on top of the mountain) and a modern archeological museum, all of which can be explored at leisure. Horse riding is also included in this excursion. (B,D)

Day 5: Petra/Aqaba

Today we travel onwards as we enter the truly magical vast and beautiful desert landscape, experience the scenery and colors of Wadi Rum, jeep safari tour. After this exciting excursion we then transfer to Aqaba and stay at 5* Movenpick Hotel. (B,D)

Day 6: Red Sea

Free day on the shores of the red sea, Aqaba is Jordan’s year round, warm-weather beach and water sport resort . You will be dazzled by Aqaba’s world - renowned display of underwater life, corals, colorful fish and exotic marine plants. (B,D)

Day 7: Aqaba/Dead Sea

Our journey today takes us to the Dead Sea - the lowest spot on the earth. Stay at the 5* Marriot Dead Sea Resort and relax in the gently lapping waters, even the weakest swimmers need not worry as you cannot sink! (B,D)

Day 8: London

Transfer to airport for flight back to London Heathrow. Arrive around noon. (B)
