Silk Road - Itinerary

Day 1: Dunhuang

Arrive in Dunhuang in the morning, transfer to the 4 Star Grand Sun Hotel. Tour of the Dunhuang Museum. Visit the Singing-Sand Mountain and Crescent Moon Lake in the evening. (L)

Day 2: Dunhuang/Turpan

Full day tour of the Mogao Grottoes and local market. Transfer for overnight train to Turpan. (B,L)

Day 3: Turpan

Arrive into Turpan in the morning and transferred to 3 Star Turpan Hotel. Full day tour to the ancient cities of Gaochang and Jiaohe, Bezeklik Grottoes, Astana Tombs, Emin Minaret and Karez (wells) System. Enjoy folk dancing in the evening. (L)

Riding on Camels

Day 4: Turpan/Urumqi/Kashgar

Transfer by car to visit Heavenly Lake. In the afternoon, tour of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Museum. Fly to Kashgar, and transfer to 4 Star Barony Hotel. (B,L)

Day 5: Kashgar

Full day tour to the Kalakuli (black) Lake to explore the wilderness of the beautiful Pamir Plateau with snow-capped peaks, one of which stands at 24,760ft. (B,L)

Day 6: Kashgar/Urumqi

Visit Id Kha Mosque, the Old Town, Abhak Hoja Tomb and the famous Sunday Bazaar market. Fly to Urumqi, and transfer to the 4 Star Grand Hotel. (B,L)

Day 7: Urumqi

Visit the Nanshan Meadow and local Kazak Yard where you will also have a chance to taste the authentic Milk Tea. Transfer for your onward flight after lunch. (B,L)
