China Highlights

China Highlights features an incredible journey to five of China's signature destinations. This perfect introduction to China includes explorations to two of China's greatest ancient capitals; two of the world's most vibrant and ultra-modern cities, and an invigorating visit to one of China's most beautiful country sides.

The journey to China begins in the capital of Beijing where you will discover treasures like the Forbidden City, the imperial palace for the Ming and Qing dynasties; the Summer Palace, a grand imperial palace and a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty; Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world; Temple of Heaven, the largest temple compound and one of the most strictly protected and preserved cultural heritages of China; and of course, the magnificent Great Wall of China, the symbol of Ancient Chinese civilization built two millenniums ago by over one million people; and the Ming Tombs, a group of mausoleums of 13 Ming Emperors, their empresses and concubines.

Next, you will spend two memorable nights in Xian, the largest metropolis in northwestern China, a beautiful ancient capital  for over 1,060 years of 13 dynasties, and home of the Terracotta Warriors. We then embark on a memorable excursion to beautiful Guilin, where visitors are forever mesmerized by its striking scenic beauty, especially while on board the Li River cruise to the eclectic, western-influenced artisan village of Yangshuo lined with art galleries, restaurant and cafes.

Finally you will visit either Shanghai or Hong Kong, two of the most modern, yet historically significant cities in China. Both are world-renown shopping, gourmet and entertainment paradises; Sophisticated, diverse and bustling metropolises which offer a tasteful blend of East and West. Get ready to experience the trip of your lifetime!
